Station Portraits

an ongoing series of photographs of TTC stations
curated from an open call - no deadline

Do you have photographs that capture the unique qualities of particular TTC stations?

This program is structured so that 3 or 4 images of the same station are shown together to form a 'portrait' of that station. The first photographer being showcased in this series is David Topping.

If you have photographs of TTC stations, you are welcome to submit your work for consideration by the curator.

Email low resolution sample images to: contact@art4commuters.com
Please also state how many images/stations you are interested in exhibiting

This venue enables your work to be seen by 1.3 million TTC riders daily. Although we do not offer financial renumeration, we will display your contact info or URL beside the work.

Keep in mind your photographs are being showcased in a public space therefore any images which could be deemed offensive may not be shown. Keep in mind the following:

  • Images that condone any form of personal discrimination will not be shown.
  • Images that appear in a realistic manner to exploit, condone or incite violence; or directly encourage, or exhibit obvious indifference to unlawful or reprehensive behaviour will not be shown.
  • Images that demean, denigrate or disparage any identifiable person, group of person, firm, organization, profession, product, or service or attempt to bring it or them into public contempt or ridicule will not be shown.
  • Avoid anything that detracts from the image of the TTC and/or its employees.

Fine Print:
By submitting this entry, you agree that you are the sole owner of the work described above, and that you have obtained all necessary releases and clearances necessary for public screening.

You agree that if your work is accepted, Art for Commuters and Onestop Media Group may publicly screen the work in the Station Portraits program, and in any publicity efforts around this program.
